FDA approval of CBD product, new non-cannabis CBD product, local cannabis innovation, and CBD advocates among headlines from Medical Marijuana, Inc. this week.
Once again, Medical Marijuana, Inc. and our portfolio of companies were featured in national and international media outlets as we continue to work to raise awareness for CBD, promote our line of CBD products, and expand access to cannabinoids around the world.
You can find highlights from our media coverage this week below.
Medical Marijuana, Inc. CEO Interviewed on CBD Industry
Dr. Stuart Titus, President and CEO of Medical Marijuana, Inc. was interviewed for a pair of media outlets this past week.
First, Dr. Titus was interviewed by Cheddar’s Alyssa Julya Smith about the rapidly expanding market for CBD products both here in the U.S. and internationally. Dr. Titus spoke about Medical Marijuana, Inc.’s efforts to increase access to CBD for people around the world, including Europe and Latin America. Hemp’s potential value goes far beyond just a source of CBD. Dr. Titus also explores in the interview other industries that can be positively affected by hemp.
FormularyWatch also reached out to Dr. Titus this past week for quotes regarding CBD and the interest among the medical community to research the potential of this compound for therapeutic use.
RSHO-K Hops-Derived CBD Oil Makes Headlines
Medical Marijuana, Inc.’s new non-cannabis CBD oil RSHO-K has been making waves since its release. Created with ImmunAg, a unique Kriya brand Humulus extract that is the first non-cannabis natural source of CBD, RSHO-K provides unique advantages for those looking to access CBD but would like to avoid exposure to cannabis products.
Cannabis news and culture website Puff Puff Post published a feature article exploring the benefits of RSHO-K. Dr. Bomi Joseph, creator of ImmunAg, was quoted in the article saying, ““The company has established significant global reach and together we can reach even more people who want to try CBD but don’t want to consume cannabis products.”
The Marijuana Observer also covered the introduction of RSHO-K to the Medical Marijuana, Inc. lineup of products and explored the many features that set non-cannabis RSHO-K apart.

Medical Marijuana, Inc. Spokespersons Receive Press Coverage
A pair of spokespersons from the Medical Marijuana, Inc. family of companies were interviewed recently as part of coverage of New York’s Cannabis World Congress and Business Expo.
First, Kannaway spokesperson and former NFL Pro Bowl fullback Christian Okoye was interviewed by popular world culture website Culture Trip. According to the interview, “Nicknamed the ‘Nigerian Nightmare’, Okoye was introduced to CBD by former Chiefs teammate Nick Lowery. Hesitant at first, he learned more about the natural compound, and is now one of its most prominent advocates.”
UFC fighter and HempMeds® spokesperson Liz Carmouche was also hesitant about CBD before adding it to her personal routine. Since giving HempMeds® CBD products a try, Carmouche has become a vocal supporter of CBD as a training and recovery tool for her fellow fighters and athletes as a whole.
“Someone suggested I try CBD and at first I said “No way!”,” Carmouche told The American Cannabis Report. “I was so naïve, I thought CBD would get me high.”
Now Carmouche travels the country to give interviews and speak at important cannabis events to bring attention to the potential non-psychoactive CBD can have in the lives of her fellow athletes.
San Diego and Cannabis Innovation
Medical Marijuana, Inc. is part of San Diego cannabis boom, according to a new article in Hatch Magazine. In an article published last week, Hatch included the efforts by our family of companies to promote responsible cannabinoid use on a list of cannabis industry innovations taking place in San Diego, California. Also on the list were UC San Diego’s Center for Medicinal Cannabis Research, a Solana Beach based startup accelerator, the creators of a hand-held cannabis testing device, and more.
Cannabis Beauty Defined
Anti-aging skincare brand Cannabis Beauty Defined and its formulator Jenelle Kim were featured in a Culture Trip article looking into the role of traditional Korean herbalism and its influence on products like those in the Cannabis Beauty Defined® brand.
“A doctor of Chinese medicine based in San Diego, California, and a descendent of Korean royalty, Kim is launching Cannabis Beauty Defined Skincare,” the article reads. “The line won’t get you high, but will restore your skin’s longevity by using principles of traditional Eastern medicine developed in the 16th century.”
Cannabis Beauty Defined® products blend the benefits of ancient herbal blends with the advantages of CBD oil for a complete anti-aging skincare line. “The Cannabis Beauty Defined Skincare line is the culmination of 15 years and many different formulas put out by Kim’s lab, JBK Wellness, which has created bespoke luxe beauty products for The Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, and Mandarin Oriental,” the article said.
You can find the Cannabis Beauty Defined® line of products in the Medical Marijuana, Inc. store.
